E-commerce with points and rewards for an automotive parts distributor
For an automotive parts distributor in Kenya we built an e-commerce platform with a points and rewards application, plus tracking of sales, inventory, payments and customer buying.

The starting point
A parts distributor selling online needs more than a storefront. It needs timely information on what is selling, how much stock is left, which payments have come in and how customers buy, and it needs a reason for customers to come back. A shop that does not feed that picture becomes one more place to reconcile by hand.
What we delivered
- An e-commerce platform for selling the distributor's products online
- A points and rewards application for customer loyalty
- Tracking and analysis of sales, inventory and payments
- Analysis of customer purchase behaviour
The situation
For an automotive parts distributor in Kenya, margins depend on knowing what is moving, what stock is left and which customers come back.
Selling online adds a channel, and every channel can drift. Unless the online shop feeds the same picture as the rest of the business, someone ends up comparing reports by hand: what sold online, what is still in stock, which payments have arrived. And without a reason to return, a customer who bought once online may buy the next part somewhere else.
What we built
We built an e-commerce platform for the distributor, designed to give it timely data as well as online sales.
Online sales. Customers can browse and buy the distributor’s products online, from a platform built for the distributor rather than a marketplace listing.
Points and rewards. A points and rewards application gives regular customers a reason to come back, and gives the business a record of who its loyal customers are and what they buy.
Tracking and analysis. The platform tracks sales, inventory and payments, and analyses customer purchase behaviour. Management can see what is selling, what stock remains and who is buying without waiting for someone to assemble a report.
What it changed
The distributor gained an online channel that does more than take orders. Sales, stock, payment and customer information come out of the same platform, so the people running the business work from one consistent flow of information.
Where this goes next
For distributors in Kenya, the case for consistent stock and sales information has grown. In September 2026, KRA told businesses using eTIMS to keep accurate, up-to-date stock records, and it is adding stock management to electronic invoicing. A business whose online and counter sales feed one set of stock records is far better placed to comply.
Today we bring the same thinking to Odoo. We set up eTIMS per branch, automate mobile money and bank reconciliation, and build WhatsApp agents that can check stock and price before they take an order.
